Very useful little lens with a pretty decent close focus available at 50mm. I see no axial CA nor lateral and fairly neutral OOF, without ugly doubling. I’ve used it on 6-24 mp cameras and I’m always very satisfied. At f/4 it looks like my 50 1.4D at f/2. At f/5.6 it’s as sharp as my 1.4D at 2.8, which is sharp.
There’s not much online about this lens, but I have seen some love it and some are lukewarm on it. If you include the sun in your pictures, you probably could do better than this lens, but I have no problems with backlit subjects.

I own one of these I have just used it today it’s still a great camera yes it’s old and needs a little skill to use it well but it still holds it’s own against the 1D mark 3 and the 1D mark2n good photos still are possible with it
I am just a hobby photographer but know a good camera when I use one I have no reservation using this dispute it’s age it’s still a force to be reckoned with

I originally used it for my 4X5, but it has moved with me into the digital age. I have 2 #3047 heads, one which I modified to take Arca-Swiss qr plates so I can use it with L-brackets.
